Our Lady of Angels First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion SACRAMENT PREP IS A TWO-YEAR PROCESS.
Our bishop is tasked with the responsibility to help his flock grow in their faith, so he asks all Diocese of Dallas parishes to provide two years of preparation for those seeking to receive these Sacraments.
Year 1 Sacrament Preparation is for:
Any 1st grader; as well as any 2nd through 5th grader who did not participate in faith formation last year.
And should include:
● At-Home parent-led catechesis, as well as bi-monthly in-person lessons at Our Lady of Angels, using the A Family of Faith program.
● Classroom instruction with a Sacrament catechist two times in the Fall.
● Weekly Mass attendance as a family.
Year 2 Sacrament Preparation is for:
Any 2nd through 5th grader who participated in faith formation last year either at home or at a Catholic parish.
And should include:
● At-Home parent-led catechesis, as well as bi-monthly in-person lessons at Our Lady of Angels, using the A Family of Faith program.
